At The Pole Coven, community is at the heart of everything we do. It's not just a place to take a pole class. It's a place to reconnect with yourself, to make lifelong friends, to feel seen and heard.

💜 What is our Pay it Forward Project? 💜

This is a community fund to help make classes free or low cost for our lower income students, LGBT folks and sex workers in our community or people having a generally rough time mentally and need a boost. Our students wanted a way to support each other so we set to work!

💜 Why a Pay It Forward Project? 💜

- It removes financial barriers to classes.

- It helps people stay connected to their community and their movement thus helping their mental and physical wellbeing.

- It's community and resistance, not charity.

- Every contribution helps, even the littlest bit.

💜 How it works! 💜

- You choose an amount you would like to put into the pot, only if you have the capacity to of course. We have a number of options from increments of £5, to drop in classes all the way up to 1:1 lessons.

- Your contributions go into a shared kitty.

- That kitty funds fully paid classes or subsidised memberships to anyone who applies for our pay it forward project.

- We will post about free classes and folks are welcome to get in touch via email at [email protected] to apply. Support is offer privately with no questions asked. This is entirely on a trust based system.

💜 This is an optional project. There is never any pressure to add to the fund. Taking care of yourself always comes first and there are always plenty of ways to support people within the community without money coming into the picture.

At the end of the financial year, any donations made to our kitty that have not been accessed by community members will be donated to sex worker support organisations. We will be transparent and offer updates from time to time about how many funds are available as well as sharing how much has been donated to SW organisations at the end of the financial year.
